When you enter the studio apartment, you will first arrive in the dining area; consisting of a durable bamboo extendable kitchen table with two matching dining chairs facing the central window, which provides a clear street view. On your right you will find the bathroom, which is fully tiled and contains a shower, a toilet, a small storage cabinet and a wash basin with a wall mirror. Furthermore, a wardrobe is situated opposite the main entrance. When you turn to the left, you will enter the living area and the bedroom, which are spatially connected to the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is situated at the left corner and is equipped with all the necessary kitchen and tableware that are needed for daily cooking, such as several kitchen cabinets, a fridge and an induction hob. It also contains an extra storage closet. On the opposite side you will find the seating area, consisting of a couch, which can also be converted into a double bed, and a coffee table. Additionally, a premium quality double box-spring bed is situated at the backside of the studio apartment. We provide you with all the facilities necessary, from towels and bedding to the entire kitchen equipment, so that you are able to directly move into your Utrecht home, without bringing anything other than your clothing and a toothbrush! Location: This studio apartment is housed in a row of buildings on the ‘Amsterdamsestraatweg’; but do not be intimidated by its long name, as Dutch people will simply refer to this well-known street as the ‘Straatweg’! This street is Utrecht’s largest historical shopping street as its 5 kilometres long, running all the way through Utrecht’s city centre. On the way to the centre you will come across many supermarkets, retail stores, market shops, cafes and restaurants. Furthermore, a bus stop is situated right in front of the studio apartment; from here, it is only a 5 minute bus ride to Utrecht Central Station and a 10 minute bus ride to Utrecht University. You can also rapidly reach Utrecht University by bike/bicycle, but of course that remains your choice: the more expensive way or the authentic Dutch way. Also, the ‘Julianapark’ – one of Utrecht’s oldest parks – is within 5 minute walking distance from the studio apartment. Shared responsibility: We have a shared responsibility regarding the residence’s maintenance. We deliver a clean studio apartment with all the furniture you need. Therefore, we expect you to handle this with care. Finance: The price includes: gas, water, electricity, Internet, Netflix (if available) and city hall taxes. Check in/out date: as stated in the contract, the rental period starts either on the 1st day of the month or on the 17th (2nd half) of the month. This means that if you, for example, book a room for the 3rd of February onwards, your contract will start on the 1st of February. By all means, the tenant may move in on the starting date of the lease. The monthly rental fee includes (fixed) advance payments for water, gas and electricity charges. If you do not overuse the electricity, then you will not have to pay extra. However, if the consumption of energy is higher than the standard, then you will be responsible for the additional fee.
