Description

* CLOSE TO UNIVERSITY AND CENTRE OF UTRECHT* Private room in shared apartment ! The room is located on the first floor at the backside of the house and contains a large window with a view. This spacious room comes with high quality equipment that is needed in order to study and relax, including a premium quality box-spring, a large desk, a desk chair and a large wardrobe with a mirror and a storage cabinet. The main window allows direct sunlight into this room, making it a very light and enjoyable place. There is a spacious bathroom in the apartment with a shower, and the kitchen features everything you need to prepare meals, such as a fridge, hob and oven. We provide you with all the facilities necessary, from towels and bedding to the entire kitchen equipment, so that you are able to directly move into your Utrecht home, without bringing anything other than your clothing and a toothbrush! Location: The accommodation is located in a lively neighbourhood called ‘Leidsche Rijn’, yet in a quiet street, and is an 8 minute bicycle ride from the train station Utrecht Leidsche Rijn and a 5 minute walk from the bus stop ‘Korianderstraat’. From here, it is only a 10 minute bus ride to Utrecht Central Station and a 25 minute bus ride to the University of Utrecht, or you could also rapidly reach the University of Utrecht by bike/bicycle, but of course that remains your choice: the more expensive way or the authentic Dutch way. Furthermore, in this area you will find a large shopping area and lots of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, drugstores and local shops, such as Turkish grocery shops, offering cheap but good quality fruits and vegetables, within a 10 minute walking distance! Other nearby facilities are ‘Club Soia’, a city beach by the water, this relaxed chill-out spot offers food, drinks and organized beach parties; several coffee bars that are located at the Vleutenseweg; and cinema ‘Pathé Utrecht Leidsche Rijn’, Holland’s most popular and well-known cinema chain. Shared responsibility: We have a shared responsibility regarding the residence’s maintenance. We deliver a clean room with all the furniture you need, therefore we expect you to handle this with care. Once a week, a cleaning service will stop by to take care of the regular cleaning tasks in the common areas. We do this because we are aware of the fact that you are rather busy doing other things in this wonderful country and we want to make sure that we keep up with our high standards inside the residences. However, you do need to take out the garbage, do the dishwashing and maintain your own room. Finance: The price includes: gas, water, electricity, Internet, Netflix (if available) and city hall taxes. Check in/out date: as stated in the contract, the rental period starts either on the 1st day of the month or on the 17th (2nd half) of the month. This means that if you, for example, book a room for the 3rd of February onwards, your contract will start on the 1st of February. By all means, the tenant may move in on the starting date of the lease. The monthly rental fee includes (fixed) advance payments for water, gas and electricity charges. If you do not overuse the electricity, then you will not have to pay extra. However, if the consumption of energy is higher than the standard, then you will be responsible for the additional fee. Contact landlord: If you are interested in booking the accommodation, just leave me a message. Feel free to ask anything you want to know about your future living space. During your stay you may always email my team and/or me regarding ‘a better way of living’. Also, if you are interested in more than one of our accommodations, then please leave a message on just one advertisement, let us know what other accommodations you are potentially interested in and make sure to add a link of the advertisement. This way we are able to assist you as best as possible. Please keep in mind that all check-in appointments shall be carried out only on Monday to Saturday between 9AM and 9PM local time; it is not normally possible to check-in on Sundays or on generally recognised Dutch holidays. If you would like to live in Utrecht and you just want to pack your essentials in order to instantly move into the apartment, well then this is your place to be! Please note, despite all photos being of the actual room you will be booking, rooms may deviate slightly from pictures shown above in regards to sizing and decoration. How to book this property

When you find a property you like it's fairly simple to make a booking. Both the tenant and the landlord need to confirm before completing a booking. This is how it works:

  1. Select your dates to check for availability.
  2. If you don't have a subscription yet, you can buy one in a few clicks.
  3. Contact the landlord by clicking on the contact button.
  4. Introduce yourself to the landlord. Ask any questions you might have.
  5. When you are ready to book, send a booking request.
  6. When the landlord approves and the payment is completed, you have successfully booked the property.

You don’t need to perform a viewing on HousingAnywhere, here's why:

  1. All of the properties on HousingAnywhere have pictures and a clear description. If anything is unclear, you can easily reach out to the landlord.
  2. Restricting viewings provides equal chances for everyone, whether you are a local or live abroad.
  3. HousingAnywhere makes sure the property is as advertised, by only sending any money to the landlord after you have successfully moved in.
After you have made a booking, the contact details of the landlord will be shared with you. You can get in touch with the landlord directly, or keep using the HousingAnywhere chat. All the successive rental costs can be paid securely through HousingAnywhere.
